Conditioned behaviors and beliefs are like a chain we carry around our neck for a lifetime if we don’t seek to find the key! Like it or not it is the reality of all our existence, that we have been conditioned and habituated from past experiences, modeling and sub-conscious imaging. Yet, I find that most people in their businesses don’t even recognize that this conditioning is occuring and how it may be impacting their Agency and business.  Let me start by giving a few examples:

  1.  That is too expensive, “money doesn’t grow on trees.”
  2. “Go to school, get a good job and your life will be “GOOD”
  3. “We can’t afford that”
  4. “People who have money are evil”
  5. “The government is in control, I have no power to change”
  6. “People who own businesses are just lucky”
  7. “It is safer to work 9-5 in a job you don’t love than to take a chance where you could fail”

Have you heard any or ALL of these comments in your lifetime…and/or especially from your parents or someone close to you?

I can raise my hand up HIGH and say yes, “ME”.  My parents didn’t mean anything by it and in reality that for them was all they knew as their options.

The challenge is for anyone who chooses to build a business, an Agency or do something for themself, they must question if these comments, phrases and the behaviors they visualized are by sheer fact of proximity have become conditioned behaviors or beliefs that you are carrying?

As a business owner myself, and in working with Agency Owners every day I have seen first hand who the conditioned behaviors and belief that were instilled in me impacted my business and the results it was able to produce.

Your Agency is or at least should be about growth and expansion both in revenue and in opportunity but if you have limited conditioning and beliefs that are not aligned with that you will remain stuck in an average, “GOOD” life.  The possibility for you and for all of us is to have a “GREAT” life.

I challenge all of you reading this message to start to evaluate what have you been conditioned to in your life, both consciously and unconsciously?  Don’t evaluate with a place of anger, resentment or attachment to whoever or whatever created that conditioning but rather an openness to how if you questioned it you could change the pattern!

I assure all of you that your response to your conditioning is already impacting your children, your legacy and is definitely impacting your business.  Change your response and you CHANGE YOUR OUTCOME!

Question the beliefs and behaviors that you were conditioned with and if they are not serving you…YOU HAVE THE CHOICE TO CHANGE THEM not only for you but for your legacy of people that you are conditioning through your belief and actions!!
