Today’s message is regarding GROWTH in your life both personally and professionally. And I will use an analogy that many of you who are parents can relate to.
As a father of two teenage daughters I have been witness to the dynamic change in the interest in boys and there maturity and growth both physically and mentally. They are beautiful young women that draw the attention of young boys and it has been very difficult for me as a father to witness. This realization and understanding is what led to my message today, “GROWTH HAPPENS…AND YOU CAN’T STOP IT.”
In all of our lives we are experiencing growth and growth is a reflection of change and expansion. Yet, when it comes to growth we are given to options: Option #1 Resist Growth-fight, argue and push back against the growth. Option #2 Lean In To Growth-accept growth in your life, adjust, modify and adapt. In the example of my daughters I have the choice to resist or accept and I will be the first to admit my initial reaction was RESIST at all measures possible. Yet, very quickly I realized no matter how much I resisted I cannot and could not stop the GROWTH! It was not until I accepted that I must lean in and start the path of acceptance that I was able to start exploring a new relationship with my daughter and ultimately me experience growth as well.
So as you listen to this message, I challenge you to see where are you resisting growth in your life both personally and professionally? What could be possible if you leaned into the growth and gave yourself the permission to accept this GROWTH?
THOUGHTS TO PONDER TODAY: Can you accept that growth is happening and change your perspective to accept and lean into it versus resist it and push back against it? What could be possible for you if you realized that GROWTH happens and you (and I) cannot change that? My belief is that the meaning of life in your Agency/Business and YOUR PERSONAL LIFE is constant expansion, continued GROWTH. The ability for each and everyone of us to realize that our lives are defined by GROWTH allows us the opportunity to accept growth and lean into it. The possibility of accepting GROWTH is monumental to the resistance of trying to stop the INEVITABLE GROWTH, that is all happening in all of our lives.
