Have you heard the saying “Overnight Success”, I hate that saying….and I do not use the word hate in my vocabulary on a regular basis. Any quote, unquote Overnight Success is offended with this comment because they feel like where were you when I was struggling to say afloat, alone and in desperation, wanting to quit at every turn? You who say this comment only see the end result and think it was an overnight success but you didn’t witness the small day to day activities and processes I dealt with to culminate what you call, “Overnight Success”.
I use this analogy to help you understand in your Agency, you are on the brink of your “Overnight Success” the culmination of the compound effect of your focused, purpose driven day to day small actions on a mission forward. The struggles, challenges and frustrations you walk on the path of being alone as an Agency Business Owner! Yet, I am here to tell you that it is your continued focus on the day-to-day small activities that will culminate and compound to success you never imagined!
THOUGHTS TO PONDER TODAY: Have you lost sight of the daily work because your vision is impaired by the long term vision? Are you comparing yourself to others as “overnight success” and failing to see the day to day commitment and struggles they endure to arrive where they are? Ask that person you want to emulate, what was their path like and what did their day to day commitments look like? Long term success is determined by the small, focused, purpose driven actions you CHOOSE to take every day. Find today, three (3) small activities you can implement TODAY, you can control three activities yet can’t control the future. Your future is determined by your commitments today and each day on a vision for a larger greater future in your Agency and/or your Personal Life!
